4.5 CAN BUS Mode

QUICK INFO:

When the CAN BUS option on the device is enabled the user can select one of the following functions:


OFF

CAN BUS is disabled


EOBD 11bit NORMAL

CAN BUS request and receives from the ecu using the ISO15765 protocol data for engine RPM and LOAD


EOBD 11bit RX only

CAN BUS only receives from the ecu using the ISO15765 protocol data for engine RPM and LOAD.

This option is useful when another OBD scanner is requesting data from the ecu.


EOBD 29bit NORMAL

CAN BUS request and receives from the ecu using the ISO15765 protocol data for engine RPM and LOAD


EOBD 29bit RX only

CAN BUS only receives from the ecu using the ISO15765 protocol data for engine RPM and LOAD.

This option is useful when another OBD scanner is requesting data from the ecu.


TX 500kbit 11bit

CAN BUS transmits the following information to be used by external ecus, datallogers or dynamometers.

Message 1: rpm, load, knock level from sensor 1, knock level from sensor 2, knock threshold

Message 2: individual knock levels for cylinders 1 to 8

Message3: individual knock counters for cylinders 1 to 8


TX 1Mbit 11bit

CAN BUS transmits the following information to be used by external ecus, dataloggers or dynamometers.

Message 2: individual knock levels for cylinders 1 to 8

Message3: individual knock counters for cylinders 1 to 8
