11. OBD Can Bus

QUICK INFO

Many vehicles produced after 2004 and almost all produced after 2008 support the ISO 15765 diagnostic protocol that is used by the PBC-Pro.

The PBC-PRO Can Bus wiring is a twisted pair of YELLOW and BLUE wires.

STEP 1

Connect YELLOW wire to can bus high and BLUE wire to can bus low on the OBD diagnostics connector.

Hint:

When the PBC - PRO starts up it performs a diagnostic test checking connectivity to the CAN BUS and reports back

an error if the wiring is incorrect or the CAN BUS specification is different from the one selected.

WARNING!

If you want to connect a diagnostic tool to the ECU, you can temporarily disable the PBC-Pro can bus by holding the "DOWN" button pressed while powering up the boost controller.

The disabled can bus will be indicated by 3 flashes of the red warning led.
