5.4 Gear Detection

QUICK INFO

Use this screen to calibrate the gear detection function.

Warning!

The engine rpm and vehicle speed must first be calibrated in menus 5.2 and 5.3. If these are modified after calibrating the gear detection will not work.

'VIEW' mode keypad functions

- UP -                        Select next gear up.

- DOWN -                Selected next gear down.

- LEFT -                Go to previous screen.

- RIGHT -                Go to next screen.

- ENTER -                Switch to edit mode.

- ENTER-HOLD -        Learn selected gear ratio from realtime gear ratio display.

'EDIT' mode keypad functions

- UP -                        Increment selected gear ratio.

- DOWN -                Decrement selected gear ratio.

- LEFT -                Go to previous screen.

- RIGHT -                Go to next screen.

- ENTER -                Switch to view mode.

- ENTER-HOLD -        Learn selected gear ratio from realtime gear ratio display.

Procedure

1. Make sure that you have calibrated the RPM and Vehicle Speed in menus 5.2 and 5.3.

2. Select 1st gear on the display.

3. Engage 1st gear in the gearbox and let the car roll at moderate rpm.(clutch must be disengaged)

4. ENTER-HOLD until gear ratio is learned.

5. Repeat procedure for all gears.

Warning!

Do not drive and operate the PBC-PRO at the same time. Use an assistant or better perform calibration procedure on dynamometer.
