Boost limit diagnostics

QUICK INFO

As the PBC-Pro has a large number of settings and engine protection mechanisms it can sometimes happen that a boost limit is triggered and the source must be identified to adjust the settings.

REQUIRED ACTIONS

  1. First it must be determined if the PBC-Pro is actually limiting the boost. For certain boost limits like EGT, Lambda, Boost and Fuel pressure a warning message is displayed in the realtime screens so they are easily recognised.
  2. For other boost limit we can configure any realtime screen to display the "BOOST LIMIT" parameter. This will take a positive value when a boost limit is triggered and will reset to 0 when no limit is active.
  3. The possible values are: 0 = NO LIMIT ACTIVE, 1 = BOOST PRES LIMIT, 2 = EGT LIMIT, 3 = LAMBDA LIMIT, 4 = OBD LIMIT, 5 = FUEL PRES LIMIT, 6 = EXT SWITCH LIMIT

IMPORTANT:  All limits can be disabled if desired by setting the "Boost Limit/ Warn Enabled" option in menu 6.3 to NO.
