QUICK INFO

When power is applied the PBC-PRO performs 6 self diagnostic tests to find possible problems in the wiring, sensors or device.


If the test is successful it will be indicated by a green display color and the device will proceed rapidly to the following test.

If the test is not successful it will be indicated by a red display color and the device will pause for a few seconds allowing the user time to read the fault report on the screen.






Performed tests


1. The MAP SENSOR test can diagnose the following faults:

       Signal short circuit to ground.

       Signal short circuit to +5V.

       Sensor calibration error.

       

2. The POWER SUPPLY test can diagnose the following faults:

Voltage supply input bellow 11 Volts.

3. The EGT SENSOR test can diagnose the following faults

       Open circuit fault.


4. The SOLENOID test can diagnose the following faults:

       Solenoid or wiring short circuit to ground.

       Solenoid or wiring open circuit or bad contact.


5. The MEMORY test can diagnose the following problems:

       Internal setup memory data out of range.


6. The CAN BUS test can diagnose the following faults:

       CAN Bus wiring incorrect.

       CAN Bus specification difference between PBC-PRO and engine ecu.
