BASIC MODE: 3-step simple knock detection

QUICK INFO:

The BASIC mode for detecting knock is the default mode of the Plex Knock Monitor after the device is powered up.

In this mode the user can choose any of the 2 pre-configured basic presets and by following a simple 2-3 step wizard begin

detecting knock. The only required inputs are:


1. cylinder bore size

2. knock signal gain

3. rpm signal calibration (basic preset 2 only)





"NO RPM" PRESET FIXED SETTINGS

- Trigger inputs set to "0"

- Audio output filter automatically follows the selected knock frequency

- Audio preAmp gain set at "-3dB"

- Analog output 1: set to "FULL RANGE" output

- Analog output 2 set to "KNOCK THRESHOLD"

- Analog outputs refresh rate set at "50Hz"

- Yellow level warning LED set to "0"

- Yellow counter warning LED set to "50"

- Red level warning LED set to "20"

- Red counter warning LED set to "OFF"


"RPM TRIG" PRESET FIXED SETTINGS

- Trigger input set to "1"

- Trigger edge set to "FALLING"

- Audio output filter automatically follows the selected knock frequency

- Audio preAmp gain set at "-3dB"

- Analog output 1: set to "PEAK/100RPM" output

- Analog output 2 set to "AUTO RESET"

- Analog outputs refresh rate set at "1000Hz"

- Yellow level warning LED set to "0"

- Yellow counter warning LED set to "50"

- Red level warning LED set to "20"

- Red counter warning LED set to "OFF"


Attention!

- The BASIC Presets do not allow access to the remaining menu and configuration. To access the remaining menu one has to first select an ADVANCED preset and then click the "LEFT" button.
