For correct rpm display the knock monitor has to divide the trigger signal depending on the source.







Required Action

-With the engine running adjust setting with the "UP" and "DOWN" buttons until "Engine RPM" real-time value shows actual engine rpm.

If the "Errors" value keeps increasing then there is a problem with the trigger signal. In that case try getting an rpm signal from a different source.


Hints!

- Typically, tachometer signals consist of one pulse per cylinder firing. So for a 4 cylinder engine the divisor will have to be 4.

- When using an injector signal the divisor will have to be 1.

- When using coil/plug ignition signal the divisor will also have to be 1.

- When using wasted spark ignition signal the divisor will have to be 2.
