The device features an internal 120 ohm can bus termination resistor.

Receive Setup

The Knock Monitor has the following options to receive RPM and LOAD info:

Transmit Setup

If required the Knock Monitor can be setup to transmit information to another device like an ecu, datalogger, dynamometer using the can bus.

Transmission is enabled when the Can Tx ID value in menu 4.7 is not 0.

3 messages containing realtime data are transmitted every 20ms (50Hz).

There are 2 possible formats for the transmitted messages. The selection depends on the base ID which is configured in  in menu 4.7.

QUICK INFO:

All the V2 devices have the can bus hardware installed internally but not all of them have the can bus wiring and connector installed.

If your device device does not have a short loom(10cm) coming out of the device with twisted yellow / blue wires terminated to a 2 pin connector the you will need to get the installation kit from Plex Tuning.

You can check whether your Knock Monitor V2 has the CAN BUS option enabled in menu 7.2. If it is not enabled you can contact Plex Tuning and provide the serial number of your device to purchase the option.
