Installation Notes
The knock sensor(s) should be connected directly using the supplied cable for optimal performance.
Alternatively, the knock inputs can be connected to OEM sensors in parallel with the ECU. When using this setup, ensure the following:

  • The Knock Monitor is powered by the vehicle’s 12V system, or if powered via USB, connect a ground to the engine for proper operation.
Follow the Knock Sensor Installation Tips to maintain high-quality vibration signal integrity.
In many cases, it is also possible to utilize the existing knock sensor signals already connected to the ECU.
